Resolved - AWS has fully resolved the issue on their side. We have been seeing stable data rates for a while now.
Jul 24, 08:08 CDT
Monitoring - AWS has applied fixes. We are cautiously optimistic and we'll continue to monitor through the resolution of their outage.
Jul 24, 07:32 CDT
Identified - AWS is experiencing some network connectivity issues in one of their regions which is impacting us intermittently.
Jul 24, 07:13 CDT
Investigating - Lightning event rates have declined. We are investigating.
Jul 24, 06:57 CDT
Resolved - Lightning event data rates have been steady.
Jul 24, 06:33 CDT
Monitoring - Data is flowing back at normal rates. We are keeping an eye on the system.
Jul 24, 06:20 CDT
Investigating - There is an issue with our Vaisala Xweather Lightning Network receiving data from some of our sensors, decreasing data rates. We are failing over and monitoring the issue.

In progress - Scheduled maintenance is currently in progress. We will provide updates as necessary.
Jul 22, 11:00 CDT
Scheduled - The Vaisala Xweather Lightning Network is being upgraded during this maintenance window. This only affects customers connected to our v2 system via API, Maps, MapsGL, Webhooks, and select file deliveries and direct feeds.

Update includes:
- Improving classification between cloud to ground and cloud to cloud events in specific circumstances

While no significant issues or outages are expected, the Xweather Lightning Network may have very minor data delays in processing data.

Monitoring - GOES-East (GOES-19) recovery operations are continuing, and satellite data is once again being received.

The affected Raster Maps layers are updating normally.

We will continue to monitor the recovery process and provide additional updates as needed.

Update - NOAA continues to work to restore operations of the GOES East (19) satellite. The latest update from NOAA:

The GOES-19 Safehold has been resolved and engineers are working to prepare for restart of the onboard instruments. More information on the recovery timeline will be provided when known.

The following Xweather Raster Maps layers may be impacted for the GOES-East coverage region:

* GeoColor Satellite
* Infrared Satellite
* Visible Satellite
* Water Vapor Satellite
* Global Estimated Radar

We are actively monitoring the situation and will provide updates as NOAA/NESDIS releases additional information.

Update - NOAA/NESDIS continues to work towards restoring operations. The latest update:

—-
...GOES-19/GOES-EAST OUTAGE...
NESDIS engineers are continuing efforts to recover GOES-19. All
GOES-19/GOES-East products are currently unavailable. There is
currently no estimated restoration time.

The following Xweather Raster Maps layers may be impacted for the GOES-East coverage region:

* GeoColor Satellite
* Infrared Satellite
* Water Vapor Satellite
* Global Estimated Radar

We are actively monitoring the situation and will provide updates as NOAA/NESDIS releases additional information.

Jul 16, 05:12 CDT
Identified - We are aware of an ongoing outage affecting the NOAA GOES-East (GOES-19) satellite. NOAA/NESDIS has issued the following notice:

As of July 15, 5:00 p.m. EDT, GOES-East (GOES-19) is experiencing an anomaly, is not transmitting data, and restoration of service is TBD. Until service is restored, GOES-East images will not update. The GOES team is monitoring the situation and will provide updates as additional information becomes available.

The following Xweather Raster Maps layers may be impacted for the GOES-East coverage region:

* GeoColor Satellite
* Infrared Satellite
* Water Vapor Satellite
* Global Estimated Radar

Our systems are operating normally, but are dependent on the upstream GOES-East data feed. We are actively monitoring the situation and will provide updates as NOAA/NESDIS releases additional information.
